This view is for looking at a specific item/row. At the top you can see the number of the item, out of all the items currently shown in the items view. To move to the next/previous item, simply swipe in the view. Swiping from the left edge will move you back to the items list view.
There are three alternative views for the details, Links/Table/Text, and you can toggle between them using the upper-right corner preference button:
This is the default view. It essentially presents the item’s fields in a web view which means that if a value is possible to interpret as a link to something, it will do so. So if e.g. you have a column for an internet address of an image, the image will be shown inline; clicking a web link will open Safari; clicking a mail adress, you can compose a mail; clicking a phone number, you can initiate a call. Here’s an example, side-by-side with the ‘Text’ view (see below) for the same item:
This view presents the item’s fields in a standard iOS table. Some type of links can be used such as clicking links to open Safari, but inline images are not supported.
This is the simplest view which just lists the fields as pure text, so no link supports. If you do a lot of copy-and-paste of the text, this is likely the best view to use.
- View selection.
- Size: Font size selection. You can also pinch-and-zoom in the actual view to change the size.
- Show hidden: If you have configured some columns not to be shown in the items list view, you can here select if you want to show the item’s values for those columns here or not.
- Show images: When a field is an address to an image file, this controls whether the image should be shown inline or whether the address should be shown instead. Only applicable for the ‘Links’ view.
- Custom CSS: Indicates whether custom CSS file(s) is used or not.
